Discussion: 'It Saved My Life:' AIDS & Reproductive Rights Activism and the Creation of Queer Politics

Tamar Carroll, historian and author, will discuss the coalition between gay men AIDS activists and reproductive rights feminists in New York City in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Members of the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP New York) and Women's Health Action Mobilization (WHAM!) joined together to fight for rights to sexual autonomy and universal health care.
