For over 170 years, the Oneida Community has gathered
to work, to play, to learn, to celebrate.

We’ve survived a challenging year and a half, and now as we begin to gather again, we need your support to help us continue to Grow the Community Experience!

Today, visitors are once again strolling through the museum, guests are staying in the newly upgraded rooms, work has begun on restoring the roof, and new programs and events are in the works with Tom Guiler, OCMH’s new Director of Museum Affairs, leading the way.

We are eager to share the objects and stories of the people who lived and worked here by creating a more immersive experience that can tell the story in the museum spaces, in the guest rooms, in the historic rooms, and outside in the landscape.

Our goal is to not only tell the stories of the people who lived here in the 19th century, but also expand to tell the stores of this place in the 20th and 21st centuries. As such, this is a living building that still functions today as a place where people live and its history comes alive.

Oneida Community Mansion House
has to offer.

Your Support is Crucial

To communicate these messages, we want to engage audiences both here at the Mansion House and globally through virtual programming and outreach. The vision is to include reimagined and immersive historic room displays, provide interpretation in the guest rooms, and install some new exhibits. And for our virtual audiences, a speaker series will return, and the treasures of the collection will be shared on social media with OCTV.

Your support is crucial to our efforts. By making a gift to the Annual Campaign, you are preserving both a National Treasure as well as the story of a successful utopian Community that transitioned to build an iconic American manufacturing company.
