About the Event

What do a dessert fork and a chore apron have in common?

Textile Historian Eliza West will explore this question in a costumed presentation on June 23rd at 5:00 PM in the Mansion House Library.

Peel back the story of design through the layers of a 1920s wardrobe and learn how even the simplest garments can pay homage to high style. This talk originates from West's joint fascinations with working-class dress, industrial history, and design.
