October Getaway

Stay overnight at the Mansion House and dive into the curiosities of the Oneida Community! This unique experience will take you into the basements, towers, and lesser-seen areas of the National Historic Landmark.

The event starts with a family-style dinner with all attendees followed by the popular Tunnels & Towers Tour exploring the people, spaces, and practices that made the Oneida Community one of the most radical social experiments of its time. After an overnight in the newly renovated guest rooms, attendees will enjoy a light breakfast including pastries made by a local award-winning baker! Following breakfast, participants will go on a cemetery walking tour to learn about the death and mourning practices of the Oneida Community and how they differed from conventional society.

• Check-out before the cemetery tour Saturday 10am (guests are welcome to come back to the museum after the cemetery tour!)

Details:

-Dinner by the chefs at Creekside Inn will be herb roasted chicken, roasted potatoes and carrots, wild rice, and butternut squash soup. Fall desserts will also be provided!

-Wear comfortable shoes! We will be navigating narrow spaces, climbing stairs, and walking outdoors.

-Suggested for those ages 16 and over.

-Notify us in advance if any dietary or mobility accommodations are needed!

In the event of cancellation:

• Please make your cancellation in writing (Email is fine. You can expect a response within 48 hours.) All cancellations are subject to a $25 processing fee.
• Cancellations 60 days before the event will receive a full refund (less processing fee).
• Cancellations 59-14 days before the event will receive a 50% refund (less the processing fee).
• There is no refund for cancellations received less than 14 days before the start of the event – no exceptions.

*The Oneida Community Mansion House occasionally uses photographs and videos of event participants in promotional materials. By virtue of your attendance, you agree to usage of your likeness in such materials. Please notify OCMH if you do not wish to have your image/video used in promotional materials.
