About the Event
The Oneida Community Mansion House is pleased to present a virtual book talk with Carol Stone White, an OC descendent and author of the recently published book A Taste of Heaven on Earth: Harnessing the Energies of Love. White’s access to a trove of first-hand materials and journals from the original Oneida Community members informs her focus on the religious aspirations as well as the quotidian details of life in this unique Utopian experiment. Mansion House docent and editor of the OC Journal, Cathy Cornue, interviews Carol. Cathy asks about Carol’s inspiration for writing this book and her approach to its multi-dimensional history in this pre-recorded discussion.
